"A DEAD GUY CAN'T FLIP A BURGER" (1994)

Directed by Ryan Graham
Starring: Curtis Crispin, Adam Eland

Made during a two-year span beginning in 1992, "A Dead Guy Can't Flip A Burger" was a triumph over the boredom of the suburbs for then filmmaker Ryan Graham. Graham and his long-time friends Curtis Crispin and Ryan Stachurski founded 37.5 Productions and set out to make a movie in the style of "splatstick" films like "The Evil Dead 1 & 2", "Bad Taste", and "ReAnimator". With curfews from parents and siblings in tow, sub-amateur actors, a borrowed VHS camera, and a budget of about $10, they created a movie that would take Pinellas County, Florida by storm. the film went on to garner awards, critical praise, and a cult following strong enough to ensure that it would play on community access channels around the United States for years to come.
