37.5: THE FILMS "The Greatest Light Sider" (1995) Directed
by Ryan Graham A cross between "Star Wars" and "The Greatest American Hero", this three part series follows the trials and tribulations of a geek-turned-superhero. When we first meet our Yoda-loving-greasy-haired-coke-bottle-glasses-wearing hero, he is getting beat up by jocks. Soon after, he is magically transported to an underground lair, where he finds a jacket, a glove, a lightsaber, and scrolls that describe how to use his newfound powers. Unfortunately, he accidently sets fire to the scrolls and has to learn how to use his powers by trial and error, thus causing a series of hilarious mishaps. Eventually, he turns into a buff stud, fighting crime and injustice, and constantly trying to seduce women. "The Oddity" (1996) Directed
by Ryan Graham A young college student falls madly in love with a woman he can never have. She's beautiful, he's ugly. She's popular, he's a dork. She's normal, he's a freak. Instead of giving up, he kidnaps her and holds her hostage in his dorm room. For weeks he brainwashes her in strange and unusual ways, hoping that eventually she'll come to love him and his oddness. Will she leave his room with her sanity intact, or will she be wooed by his "Yoda Pee-Pee Shows" and "Bob Saget Worship Services" and fall in love with our insane yet strangely compelling hero?
